The Foundation of our Beliefs
The foundation of our beliefs is the never changing truth of the Bible, which is the living Word of God. Salvation is a gift from God, provided through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The grace of God and forgiveness of sin is available to everyone who calls on His Name.
VISION STATEMENT
River’s Edge Ministries, acknowledging the call in and through Jesus Christ. Will strive to provide peace, contentment, belonging, guidance, nourishment and growth that flows from the River of Life.
MISSION STATEMENT
To equip the saints for the work of ministry. To invest our lives into people as we pray, encourage and serve one another in love. To focus on our relationship with God as we labor together, to till, plant and water with the Gospel message of Jesus Christ to bring true hope.

The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit guides us to the truth, Jesus Christ. Teaches us how to pray and helps us crucify the flesh with our passions and desires.

Man
Man is made in the image of God and is the supreme object of His creation. Man was created to have fellowship with God but became separated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man cannot attain a right relationship with God through his own effort.

The Church
The Church is a single, unified body with many members having different functions. Not a building, but an assembly of believers functioning as the body of Christ. Unified in diversity, mission to represent and to serve Jesus Christ on Earth.

The Bible
The Bible is the word of God to all people. The Bible is “God-breathed” meaning the Spirit of God breathed His divine Word through certain chosen followers of God. The inspiried word of God is truth without any error, all 66 books.

The Father
God is Holy and just: He is all-powerful, all-knowing, ever-present, and unchanging. All glory, honor and praise belong to Him!

Eternity
People were created to exist forever. They will exist either eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is Heaven. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.

Salvation
The blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in Jesus Christ, believing he died on the cross & rose again, as sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation is a gift from God, and it cannot be earned through works.

Trinity
Each part of the trinity possess different attributes and each one is God. Alpha and the Omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet which means the beginning and the end of all things.

The Son
Jesus Christ became our eternal and perfect sacrifice for sin. He defeated death and sits at the right hand of God. He is Incarnate, meaning Jesus is fully God and fully man. Christ is the High Priest and our advocate.

Giving
Giving is broken into two parts: a tithe and an offering. A tithe is to a local church, an offering is what you give over and above your tithe.
